Horizont - Albania
HOTIZONT - ALBANIA
Since it's very beginning NGO Horizont have been playing a very active role in the development of the community of the area in which our association practices it's activity. During the years it has become an integrated part of the community and has focused it's attention in the most crucial needs that the community presented in the road toward a democratic development. In order to be more realistic and to fulfill in the best possible way this role NGO Horizont has committed herself in several regional, national and international projects that would impact in many ways the lives of the community.
Projects that NGO Horizont has been partner:
- The Airport of Gjirokastra, a strategical project for the development of the south region of Albania.
- The possibilities of the development of tourism in the rural areas in the south of Albania.
Projects that NGO Horizont has been partner:
- “Transismic” along with the Region of Marche (Italy), the Municipality of Grottamare (Italy), the Province of Ascoli-Piceno (Italy), the Municipality of Gjirokastra (Albania), the Region of Gjirokastra (Albania), the University of Gjirokastra (Albania). Year 2008.
- “Woman in front of corruption in the medicine” along with the “Association of Professional Journalists of South”, an USAID project
- “Fight against corruption” along with the “Association of Professional Journalists of South”, a project of “The Balkan Trust for Democracy”. This Project was carried out through a series of local radio and tv “talk show” programs in the period between April-November 2007.
- Partner in a project along with the “Association for the preservation of the ambient and the stimulation of the tourism”, and the collaboration of the Municipality of Gjirokastra, the Region of Gjirokastra and the University of Gjirokastra.
- “The week of Italian Culture and Science in Gjirokaster” along with the University of Pescara (Italy), the University of Gjirokastra (Albania), the Italian Embassy in Tirana (Albania), the Region of Marche (Italy), the Municipalities of Gjirokastra and Libohova, in May 2007.
- “The table for the progress of Gjirokaster” with the collaboration of the Region and the University of Gjirokastra, the Italian association “VSP” and the Italian Cooperation for the development in Tirana.
- “The Reactivation of the Natural Park of Viroi”in cooperation with the “Association for the preservation of the ambient ans the stimulation of the tourism” and REC Albania. Year 2006.
- The pilot training project on the “Active Citizenship” with ALDA and the European Council, December 2008 – May 2009.
- Partner and organiser in the following international conferences 2009:
- The Airport of Gjirokastra, a strategical project for the development of the south region of Albania.
- The possibilities of the development of tourism in the rural areas in the south of Albania.
- Partner along the “Professional Journalists Regional” Association and the support of “Balkan Trust for Democracy” in the project “The increasing power of the partnership between media and the legal representative institutions against the traffic of human beings”. Year2009
- Partner in the Project “Archadrin”, a joint collaboration between Marche Region, the University of Macerata, the University of Gjirokastra, the Regional Institute of Monuments of Gjirokastra. Year 2009.
